SIBU, Feb 9: A 17-year old youth lost his life after the car he was driving was involved in a self accident at Lane 9, Jalan Teku last night.
Head of Sungai Merah Fire Station, Janggan Muling said they received a distress call at 8pm that a car had crashed into the roadside drain.
“When we arrived at the scene, members of the public had already pulled up the car using a four-wheel drive. The victim was trapped inside the car,” he said.
The victim, Lee Wei Ping when extricated from the car was unconscious.
“Paramedic from Sibu Hospital had performed a CPR and later sent him to the hospital,” he said.
The victim was pronounced dead. — DayakDaily
