SIBU, Sept 17: A 17-year-old girl who fell from a bridge near Sungai Merah market was rescued by members of the public.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) from Sungai Merah Station responded after being alerted of the emergency at 8.41am.

According to the operation commander, bystanders at the scene used a long pole to assist the girl in getting back up before the firefighters arrived.
The girl was uninjured and handed over to the police. She later received treatment from paramedics at the site.
