Team Orbit Cycle United A emerges as champion in SMBC 2022 Cross Country Relay Category

KUCHING, Aug 28: Team Orbit Cycle United A emerges as champion in the Siol Mountain Bike Challenge (SMBC) 2022 Cross Country Relay Category.

Muaz Abdul Rahim, Mohd Zukri Tahir, Sheikh Muhammad Harith Sheikh Mohd Noh and Supian Nor managed to finish the four laps on the 1.1 kilometer track with a time of 22 minutes and 36 seconds.

In second place were Nieklos Minol, Laurel Lauridsen Adrian, Natahsya Soon and Ryan Zeck Badimin from Nieklos Minos Team with a time of 23 minutes and 40 seconds, while Md Zaid Basiron, Muhammad Shazril Nazmi, Muhammad Razli Ibrahim and Ajit Ameer Norizan from Team Orbit Cycle United B settled in third place after clocking in 23 minutes and 55 seconds.

The winners were presented their prizes by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who also flagged off the final event earlier.

Meanwhile, Supian Nor from KCT took first place (1:07:56) in the Men Master Category, followed by Chung Xan Tang from LEX (1:10:57), and Osaman Abdul Malik from Saxon in third (1:13:09).

In the Men Elite category, Muaz Abd Rahim from Orbit Cycle Unite finished first (1:30:06), followed by Laurel Lauridsen Adrian from Ghost Speed Racing (1:32:22) and Sheikh Muhammad Harith also from Orbit Cycle United in third place (1:35:00).

In the Men Junior Category, Sheikh Muhammad Harith Sheikh Mohd Noh from Orbit Cycle United took first place (59:09), while Muhamad Effan Wafiy (1:08:29) from Agpg Cycling and Mohd Zakawan Zamahari (1:13:59) from Ssc Bintulu finished in second and third place respectively.

In the Women Elite Category, only Natahsya Soon from Blako Racing Team managed to finished the race (1:16:22), while Nur Deena Safia from Agpg Cycling Team and Nurkhairunnisatul Alna from Orbit Cycle United only completed one lap each, placing both riders in second and third place respectively. – DayakDaily
