KUCHING, Mar 4: More than RM195,000 has been allocated to Tanah Puteh Health Clinic to upgrade its facilities since May 2018.

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said the amount included the purchase of tables and chairs, upgrades of air-conditioning systems in the main waiting hall and consultation rooms, repainting, orthodontic equipment, building an awning at the main entrance of the clinic among others.

“My office is fully supportive of their efforts especially to provide a good and more conducive environment for the patients and staff. We also showed appreciation to the excellent staff in the clinic and encourage the others as well,” Dr Yii said in a statement after attending the launch of the clinic’s Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA).

He said the clinic aspired to achieve EKSA by the year end 2020, to join a “premier” group of clinics in Sarawak.

“We have received good feedback from patients and staff as they are enjoying the new, fresher, less stuffy and more comfortable environment in the clinic. The main entrance now is also properly shaded and patients can be shielded from the rain.

“We look forward to working together again with the clinic to better improve and address the needs of the clinic. I also took the opportunity to thank all the healthcare professionals and staff for their commitment and dedication to serve the people and provide quality care to the community,” Dr Yii added.—DayakDaily
