Wee expressed his appreciation to all parties involved, noting that the contribution demonstrates a strong spirit of collaboration between the public, private sector, and community stakeholders.

“This meaningful contribution goes beyond physical infrastructure. It reflects compassion, social responsibility, and a collective effort to improve the well-being of our community. Comfortable and accessible public healthcare spaces are essential in ensuring dignity and care for all,” he said in a statement today.

He added that small but impactful initiatives such as this play a vital role in supporting public health services and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Wee also highlighted that the effort builds on previous contributions, including last year’s support to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), underscoring a continued commitment to improving healthcare facilities in the city.

He extended his gratitude to the donors who made the initiative possible, namely HS Wee Holdings Sdn Bhd, Ori Pastri Ori Kuching Sdn Bhd, Tay Motor, Eric Tay, Albert Tay, Alex Sim, Kelby Than, and Tai Zee Kin, for their generosity and ongoing support for community initiatives.

“This contribution exemplifies how collective action can bring about meaningful improvements in public facilities. MBKS welcomes more partnerships of this nature to continue uplifting the quality of life in Kuching South,” he added.

The initiative aligns with MBKS’s ongoing efforts to promote a healthy and inclusive city, where public amenities are continuously enhanced to meet the needs of the community. — DayakDaily
