Taib invited to attend Perkim Sarawak AGM in Sibu from April 29 to 30

KUCHING, April 12: Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (Perkim) Sarawak has paid a courtesy call to Sarawak Governor Tun Pein Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud on Tuesday.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the Prekim Sarawak delegation was led by its deputy chairman I Dato Sri Rohani Abdul Karim and deputy chairman II Datin Noraini Hussin.

The purpose of the call was to invite Taib to officiate at its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held in Sibu on April 29.


The organisation also took the opportunity to invite the former chief minister to grace its Grand Dinner cum Prekim Book (1989-2022) Launch Ceremony as well as to give advice on Perkim’s direction and strategy for the term of 2023 to 2027.

On April 30, Prelim will hold a discussion presenting its strategy which is expected to be attended by 200 members including observers.

As of now, Perkim Sarawak which caters only for Muslim women, has 21 branches with a membership of about 5,000. — DayakDaily
