KUCHING, Apr 15: A delegation of 40 students from Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus visited TEGAS Digital Village (TDV) here to gain exposure to Sarawak’s digital innovation ecosystem.
In a Facebook post today, Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh said the delegation comprised students from Swinburne Foundation Studies programmes in Engineering, Science and Information Technology/Multimedia, as well as Business, Design and Communication.
“The visit aimed to allow students to observe how innovation initiatives are developing in Sarawak while exploring opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry,” he said.
During the programme, the students also attended briefing sessions by four tenants and alumni of Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) who shared their experiences in developing technology ventures and building careers in the digital sector.
Among those involved were Teduh Jiwa, The Culture Capital, Ctrl D Studio and Stinablis.
The session also provided students with insights into career pathways in the digital economy and served as a platform to exchange ideas on talent development and preparing graduates for the demands of the fast-evolving digital landscape. — DayakDaily
