KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24: The Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) won the Digital Innovation Excellence Award in the Public Sector Transformation category of the Chartered Institute of Building Malaysia (CIOB Malaysia) Golden Jubilee Dinner and Awards Night 2026.
According to a statement issued by the department, its director, Datu Dr Cassidy Morris, received the award during the event, which was held here on Friday (Oct 23).
As the department’s representative at the ceremony, Cassidy also engaged with industry players, exchanging views and ideas with fellow professionals in a friendly and celebratory atmosphere.
The gathering further strengthened ties between Sarawak JKR, professional associations, and construction industry players.
The exchange of views and experiences helped foster collaboration and support the development of a more competitive construction sector, benefiting Sarawak’s construction industry.
Organised by CIOB Malaysia, the event not only celebrated achievements in the construction industry but also provided a platform to strengthen professional relationships among stakeholders. — DayakDaily
