S’wak govt allocates RM400k to repair schools in Mulu

KUCHING, Feb 17: The Sarawak government has allocated RM400,000 to repair schools in the Mulu constituency.

According to a news report from Sarawak public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk Gerawat Gala said although education is under the purview of the Federal government, the Sarawak government will continue to channel funds to improve schools in the region.

The Mulu assemblyman said this during the SK Long Banga Excellence Award Presentation and Graduation Ceremony held at Kampung Long Banga Community Hall on Wednesday (Feb 15).

He also added Sarawak government is also currently in the process of developing five international schools in the region.

Meanwhile, Gerawat handed over RM10,000 in Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant to SK Long Banga’s Parents-Teacher Association (PIBG) during the programme. — DayakDaily
