KUCHING, July 7: The Sarawak government has allocated funds to build a replica of Tusan Beach’s famous ‘drinking horse’ rock formation, which is expected to be completed by 2024.
According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS) yesterday (July 6), Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak Datuk Rosey Yunus said the replica will also feature a gallery.
She told this to reporters when met after the ‘Pertandingan Forum Remaja Piala Pusingan Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Peringkat Negeri Sarawak 2023’ held in Miri yesterday.
In early 2020, it was discovered that a pile of rubble was what was left of the rock formation, which was one of Miri’s most iconic landmarks. — DayakDaily
