KUCHING, April 29: Some 400 students are under quarantine at SMK Lundu and Salcra Bajo Training Centre in Lundu.
As such, Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Opar Branch today delivered food aid and daily essentials to relieve the burden of students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its branch chairman Niponi Undek emphasised that the contribution was among initiatives by the committee members of SUPP DUN Opar to lighten the burden of SMK Lundu students in particular who are not allowed to go home but needed daily food supplies.
“We collaborated with the school and Salcra Bajo Training Centre and follow closely the development of Covid-19 situation especially in Lundu and Bau areas,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) when met after presenting the aid.
The food aid and daily essentials were handed over to Lundu District Education officer Kamisah Narudi. — DayakDaily
