Sukma 2024: Boxing expected to yield six gold medals for Sarawak

KUCHING, April 9: The goal of winning six gold medals in boxing can be achieved at the Malaysian Game (Sukma) on Aug 21.

Sarawak Boxing Association (Saba) president Dato Rahman Lariwoo said it was based on current developments from the states involved.


ā€œSarawak is ready to fight. The Sports Ministry set a target of six gold medals.

ā€œI am confident that we can achieve the goal, and this time Sarawak can be the overall winner for boxing,ā€ he said at a press conference in Kuching yesterday.

In order to strengthen the boxing squad, Rahman added, State boxers will be brought to train in Southern Thailand, Pontianak, and Baguio in the Philippines.
