KUCHING, Oct 16: Hawkers at Stutong Community Market will receive Covid-19 vaccination certificates from Kuching South City Council (MBKS) to assure the customers that it is safe to enter the premises.

MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the market will be the first under the Council’s jurisdiction, of which the certificates would be given to stall operators and their assistants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

ā€œMBKS will start to do the distribution of Covid-19 vaccination certificates to the hawkers at MBKS markets and hawkers centre.

ā€œStutong Community Market is the first market in MBKS area to receive the certificates for having all their operators fully vaccinated,ā€ he said after presenting the vaccination certificates to Stutong Market Liaison Committee leader Tan Choon Yang at the market today.

Wee further encourages other business premises under the MBKS area to do the same, adding that the employers can apply for the certificates by sending complete information to the Council for verification purposes.

ā€œThis is MBKSā€™s initiatives to create awareness to the public on the importance of getting fully vaccinated, and by having the vaccination certificate, it also assures your customers or the public that it is safe to enter the premises,ā€ he emphasised.

Goh Tze Hui, Kho Teck Wan and Mok Chuang Ping were among the MBKS councillors present. ā€” DayakDaily
