KUCHING, July 31: The Stutong Community Market will be reopened to the public this Sunday (Aug 2).
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) in a statement said the council and the Fire and Rescue Department will jointly carry out disinfection and sanitisation work at the Stutong Community Market at 2 pm tomorrow (Aug 1) in preparation for its reopening.
The council explained that the disinfection and sanitisation exercises at the market were part of the measures taken by the local council to curb the spread of the Covid-19 in the community.
It stressed that MBKS has been proactive in preventing the second wave of the Covid-19.
“We would like to remind the businesses to strictly adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs),” sayd MKBS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng.
“And for the public, always look after your personal hygiene, wear face masks when you are out in the public, wash hands or use hand sanitizer, practice physical distancing and avoid crowded places whenever possible,” he said. —DayakDaily
