SONG, Jan 11: A teacher of a secondary.school here was assaulted after he told off a 15-year old student for riding a motorcycle to school without a driving licence.
Song district police chief DSP Rowney Michael Jalak said at about 11.50am on Friday (Jan 10), the 26-year old teacher saw the student was riding a motorcycle in the school compound.
“He then told the student to stop doing it. However, the Form 3 student got agitated and started to assault him,” he said.
As a result of the assault, the teacher suffered bruises on his lips, a cut on his head and fingers.
Rowney said the whole incident was witnessed by another teacher.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code. —DayakDaily
