KUCHING, Sept 8: Sarawak is expected to experience thunderstorms, accompanied by heavy rainfall, from Sept 10 to 13, 2025, as strong wind convergence is forecast to occur over western Sabah, Sarawak, and western Peninsular Malaysia.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), analysis of the latest weather forecast models indicates that this condition has the potential to produce thunderstorms, and heavy rain, over an extended period in the affected areas during this timeframe.
“The situation is expected to result in thunderstorms, with heavy downpours lasting longer, in the areas concerned,” MetMalaysia said in a statement today.
