MIRI, Oct 25: A Central Processing Unit (CPU) belonging to a local daily was reported missing on Sunday.
The incident reportedly happened around 4pm at Pujut Bus Terminal cargo section.
The local daily’s head office in Kuching had sent the repaired CPU to its Miri office by bus, and a staff was entrusted to collect it from the bus terminal. But workers in the cargo section could not find it.
A decision was then made to go through the CCTV recording, and it was discovered that a stranger had run off with the CPU, which was placed outside the cargo office.
The CPU is believed to worth about RM3,000.
A police report was then lodged. — DayakDaily
