‘Stay at home, comply with MCO’ — Lubok Antu MP

Jugah Muyang

KUCHING, April 3: Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang has reminded the public to always priorities safety and maintain personal hygiene amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

He advised the public to exercise responsibility and play their role to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Jugah, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) national vice-president, made the call after images of some 100 people lining up in close vicinity, waiting for government assistance at a service centre without any regards to the movement control order (MCO), were published in a online news portal.

“I would like to urge the parties involved in the country’s essential service sector to strengthen their safety control measure by providing body temperature scan, and if there is any above average body temperature detected, please inform the nearest health office or hospital.

“We must be aware of this predicament and always prioritise our safety, because we are fighting an ‘invisible’ enemy that causes death,” he said in a statement.

He added that everyone must avoid close contact if possible, because the virus can spread through close contact from person-to-person respiratory droplets from an infected person.

“Use a face mask whenever you are in public places, stay at home, practice social distancing during this MCO and please cooperate and show your support towards the Health Ministry’s efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” he continued. — DayakDaily
