KUCHING, Nov 11: The state government will explore building hotels and resorts with Brunei along the beach between Limbang and Brunei.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said he had instructed relevant parties to carry out research and planning on the proposal to promote tourism in the area.

He said the beach between Limbang and Brunei, which is only 3km away from the airport, could be developed into a tourist attraction in Limbang.

He told reporters this after opening the Sarawak Regatta-Kuching Waterfront Festival 2017 here today.

He said, the sea between Limbang and Brunei is calm and suitable to build resorts so the state government would explore opportunities to collaborate with Brunei. — DayakDaily
