KUCHING, May 27: A courtesy call was paid to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to invite him and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, to the State-level Gawai Dayak 2024 celebration at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on June 22.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas led the delegation for the courtesy call consisting of the organising committee during Anwar’s working visit in Kuching today.
This year, the State-Level Gawai Dayak celebration is to be hosted by the Bidayuh community.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg; Sarawak Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister, Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, who is also the chairman for this year’s State-level Gawai Dayak celebration; Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai; Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil; Serian MP Dato Sri Richard Riot Jaem; and Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin were also present. — DayakDaily
