State cabinet reshuffle: Uggah appointed Finance Minister II, Awang Tengah as Minister of International Trade & E-commerce

BREAKING NEWS

KUCHING, Aug 22: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg announced the appointment of Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas as Minister of Finance II, and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan as Minister of International Trade & E-commerce, both replacing Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh.

Minister of Transport, a new portfolio will be headed by Datuk Lee Kim Shin with Datuk Dr Jerip Susil as his deputy.

Meanwhile Datu Jaul Sameon has been confirmed as the State Secretary, replacing the retired Tan Sri Mohd Morshidi Abdul Ghani.

The new chairpersons for major urban councils in Sarawak were also named. Datuk Wee Hong Seng is the new mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS) while Datuk Junaidi Raduan will take on the mantle of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) mayor. As for Sibu Municipal Council, Clarence Ting is the new chairman.

Abang Johari revealed this at a press conference today at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.
