State approves RM325k to solve traffic woes at Lorong 3, Jalan Stakan

KUCHING, Aug 23: Works to improve traffic flow at Lorong 3, Jalan Stakan T-junction at Kota Sentosa, here, will soon commence after the state government approved RM325,000 for the project.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau chief Wilfred Yap, in a statement, believed the public and the business community alike should be content that the upgrading works at the junction often plagued by traffic congestion have been given the nod.

Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), as the implementing agency for the upgrading works at the junction, will monitor its progress, he said.

“During one of our regular walkabout, the bureau was approached by the business community who complained about the congestion at that junction.

“We will continue to follow up and monitor the project closely until the upgrading works of the T-junction at Lorong 3, Jalan Stakan, has been properly completed to the satisfaction and benefit of all affected parties,” he continued.

The SUPP complaints bureau chief assured that party members will continue to serve as the eyes and ears of the community in Kota Sentosa to ensure that the infrastructure facilities in the area are constantly upgraded and properly maintained for the benefit of the community.
