KUCHING, May 9: Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen has been diagnosed with dengue fever and was admitted to the hospital today.
In a Facebook post earlier, he said he had been suffering intermittent muscle aches and fever since last Thursday (May 4) and he presumed it to be a normal flu.
“Done Covid-19 (self) test twice, both (results were) negative. Was happy but didn’t know then, it was something worse.
“On Monday (May 8), when I didn’t feel much better, I came to Normah (Medical Specialist Centre) to do a blood test,” he wrote.
Chong, who is also Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman, said the doctor confirmed that it was dengue fever and he had to be admitted for observation for a few days.
Despite what was happening, Chong added a “feeling grateful” status to his Facebook post. — DayakDaily
