“This special Ramadan Iftar night is a gathering not only aimed at celebrating the spirit of Ramadan but also at strengthening cooperation and expanding our network, especially in fostering deeper bilateral relations.

“Through cooperation and mutual respect, we can further strengthen our business and at the same time, enhance the tourism industry,” he said, as reported by Bernama, while delivering his speech at the event.

Tiong also highlighted the importance of fostering unity and harmony among the people and urged everyone to respect one another.

“Only in this way can we achieve national stability and global peace. This diversity makes Malaysia unique, and we proud to showcase this to the world through our tourism industry. The richness of Malaysia’s heritage, culture, and traditions, along with health wellness retreats, offers unique experiences that meet the growing global demand.

“As we are actively promoting the Visit Malaysia Year 2026, I urge ambassadors, industry leaders, and business partners to collaborate in highlighting the country’s tourism offerings,” he added.

He pointed out that strong public-private partnerships and cross-border cooperation can elevate Malaysia as a premier destination while ensuring long-term sustainability and global recognition.
