KUCHING, Feb 26: Stadium Perpaduan at Petra Jaya here will be the biggest Covid-19 vaccination centre in Sarawak among 55 other health clinics and hospitals across the state.
This was revealed by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) advisor Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian in his Facebook post yesterday (Feb 25) along with a list of all health clinics and hospitals available for the vaccination services.
He also said other than the current list, an additional of over 60 vaccination centres would be set up by Sarawak State Health Department (JKNS) including at private medical facilities.
“Sarawak government will assist including the financial shortfall in order to ensure the biggest operation involving more than two million Sarawakians and another 200,000 non-Sarawakian residents over the next six months a success,” he exclaimed.
Adding on, he emphasised that Phase One of the vaccination would be for frontliners, followed by Phase Two for high-risk groups and Phase Three for other eligible individuals above 18 years old.
He said Phases Two and Three would commence some time at the end of March or early April and these vaccines would be supplied from eight vaccine storage centres in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
