St Joseph’s Int’l School marks success as 14 students achieve straight As in IGCSE

KUCHING, Jan 17: St Joseph’s International School Kuching added another accomplishment under its belt when 14 of its students achieved straight As in their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams.

According to a press release, among the standout students are Kieran Alexandre Yong Yun Hau (9A*), Jesslyn Ting Jie (9A*), Leanne Ting Jen Jie (9A*1A), and Evonne Wong Yuan Yan (9A*1A).

“The overall performance of the school has improved significantly compared to the previous year. The students also performed well in the newly introduced subject—Bahasa Malaysia as First Language,” said the school.

It added that apart from excelling academically, the students have also embodied the school’s values of humility, grace, and kindness while also excelling in extracurricular activities.

The school’s principal, Brother Robert Teoh, expressed admiration for the students’ hard work and dedication.

“Our students continue to impress us with their talent and work ethic, serving as role models for our younger students.

“We are also proud of our teachers, who are always willing to go the extra mile to provide a holistic education that nurtures both academic and personal growth,” he said.

At the same time, St Joseph’s Private Schools chief executive officer Christopher Chua also commended the students for their achievements while thanking teachers for their dedication and guidance. — DayakDaily
