KUCHING, Jan 18: Four lucky punters became overnight millionaires yesterday, each claiming a share of the RM121 million winning prize money from Sports Toto’s Supreme 6/58 Jackpot Game, the highest ever jackpot in Malaysia’s history.
Spots Toto Malaysia confirmed this last night in their posts across all its official social media platforms.
“Congratulation to our Supreme Jackpot Winners!” the company said.
With the nationwide surge in ticket sales yesterday, the jackpot winnings rose rapidly from RM100 million reported on Friday to RM121 million, the highest jackpot amount since 2022 (RM97.75 million).
On its Facebook post last night, Sports Toto shared that three winners will walk away with RM34.92 million, while one winner will be RM16.96 million richer.
Yesterday, across Malaysia, DayakDaily sighted netizens posting photos and videos of queues that stretched for what looked like miles in front of Sports Toto outlets, with hopeful punters lining up for a chance to strike it rich.
Some betting outlets had seen their fair share of eccentricities like a punter who brought along someone who looked like they were dressed as Caishen, the Chinese God of Wealth.
But nothing stood out quite like a punter who’d brought a snake with him, no doubt hoping it would slither him straight to victory with the Snake Year just around the corner.
Scenes of crowded Sports Toto outlets were also spotted across Sarawak, where eager punters here did not miss the chance to try their luck at winning the massive jackpot prize. — DayakDaily
