Special programme to boost value of integrity among the young

KUCHING, Dec 4: The State Integrity and Ombudsman Unit (Union) is organising a “Merintis Kepimpinan Berintegriti” programme as part of the efforts to cultivate the values of integrity among Sarawakian children and youth at the early stage.

Its Minister Datuk Talib Zulpilip, said the programmes will be held throughout the month of December, until Jan 8, 2021.


“The objective of the programme is to cultivate, and disseminate the value of integrity towards the at their early age in efforts of pioneering a community with integrity, and also creativity,” he said during a press conference held at the Borneo Convention Center Kuching (BCCK), today.

Talib noted, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the program would be held virtually in accordance with the new norm, without physical attendances.

He said a total of four competitions would also be held during the program, namely coloring contest, storytelling competition, speech competition (on Integrity is our Culture) and poetry recital competition.

“Participants only need to submit their best-recorded footage on the preferred competition to the organiser, and these programs together with competition, are only eligible for Malaysian children, students and the youth who are residing in Sarawak, and below the age of 21,” he added.
