SIBU, Sept 24: Ninth Infantry Brigade commander Brig Gen Ahmad Norzaini Badrun visited the family of the late Corporal Petrus Linggi Liman at the Armed Forces Family Housing (RKAT) at Oya last night (Sept 23).
According to a post on the infantry’s Facebook page, the late Petrus was a member of the Third Royal Ranger Regiment (3 RRD) who died due to a gunshot wound, shot by a civilian who was believed to be hunting in the area where the deceased was undergoing training in Song yesterday.
In the Facebook post, Ahmad Norzaini relayed his condolences to the deceased’s widow and the rest of his family.
He also further extended financial aid as a show of support while expressing the deep sense of loss felt by all members of the Ninth Brigade.
The remains of the deceased will be brought back to Rumah Janting, Lemujan, Pakan, and scheduled to be buried on Friday (Sept 27). — DayakDaily
