MUKAH, July 26: When their father was admitted to Bintulu Hospital for Covid-19, two siblings were left alone to fend for themselves.

It has been almost two months since their father was admitted to the hospital on June 4, leaving the two siblings in a quandary.

After coming to know of their situation, social club Pirates Troopers Legacy stepped forward to assist the siblings.

Club leader Lawrence Lambai visited the siblings and presented them with a cash donation and food items yesterday.

“We also learned that their father is also suffering from a heart attack,” said club spokesman Nicholas Jimbun.

According to him, the siblings were from a longhouses in Bawan Bukut, Jalan Selangau-Mukah and lived in a rented house with their father.

“We hope that with this assistance, we can lessen their burden,” he said. — DayakDaily
