SRI AMAN, Nov 4: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) youth chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan says Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie and candidate for (P202) Sri Aman has the chance to be the first Iban woman parliamentarian should she win the seat in the 15th General Election (GE15).

“Lets us go all out in this parliamentary constituency to support and to vote for her in GE15 and make PRS political history by giving her the victory and delivering the Sri Aman seat to GPS,” he said.

“That will not only make her the ‘Iron Lady’ of the PRS party, but at the same time create history of being the first Iban woman in parliament,” he said.

Snowdan called on voters to give Doris the mandate come Nov 19 after the latter’s blessing ceremony at her ancestral home at Kampung Entebar, Undop, Sri Aman.

He revealed that Doris’s candidacy is timely and the right choice by top PRS and GPS leaders.

“The top political leaders had chosen her candidacy based on merits that she can do and deliver the job to help the people who wants development in Sri Aman,” he said.

“I fully support her candidacy, and we all vote for her to give the mandate to GPS. I want to see her win so that the three state constituencies -Simanggang, Bukit Bangunan and Balai Ringin will be better developed, and people in rural constituencies have better opportunities,” he added.

He further urged younger voters who recently registered and are eligible to vote to be guided to vote wisely. — DayakDaily
