KUCHING, Oct 25: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Julau MP Larry Sng has cautioned PKR Sarawak leadership to check their facts and not to use falsified documents to promote their agenda through social media.
He said a police report has been made by a PKR Julau branch leader yesterday morning to ask for police investigation.
At a press conference in the Parliament yesterday, he urged PKR Sarawak leadership to check their facts on a statutory declaration (SD) of a leader.
The SD listed 27 individuals claiming that they have been signed up as members without their knowledge.
“Nine out of 27 of them have come forward and said they had joined PKR with full knowledge.
“They had made declaration that they had joined PKR willingly and some also declared that their signatures in the SD were forged.
“I urge the authorities to look into this matter to see if there is any criminal element and to charge those irresponsible individuals under the Anti Fake News Act,” Sng told DayakDaily.
He said the membership of the nine had been accepted by the party central and they will be voting on Nov 10, the day of polling for Sarawak PKR.
Sng’s comment was the latest in PKR leadership tussle following the registration of new members in Julau. — DayakDaily
