Sng hints door still open if former PKR members decide to return

KUCHING, Aug 20: Sarawak PKR chairman Larry Sng is prepared to consider the return of former members who resigned recently from the party.

“As MPN (State Leadership Council) chairman, I am prepared to consider their return subject to the approval of the leadership council (MPP). Politics is the art of the possible and there are no permanent enemies,” he revealed via a Facebook post last night.

Sng added that as long as leaders subscribe to the policies and principles that PKR have long stood for, that is their passport to rejoining the party under his leadership.

“Those who know me understand that I can work with both Cartel and Reformist, and I will fervently protect those who remain loyal to Keadilan (PKR) regardless of their past political history,” he asserted.

The Member of Parliament for Julau revealed resignations within Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) have ceased for some months and the party has been growing from strength to strength.

“What puzzles me is why would those who have left think that their future is better off in other parties?,” he questioned.

According to Sng, they were previously in power only to leave that behind and start all over from the bottom in a new political organisation with a long queue of leaders before them.

He added that it will take them years before they reach any position of real influence, if they can survive until then and he was told some of them have regretted leaving PKR, but are now stuck.

“Before I end here, I would like to share a famous quote, “To err is human, to forgive is divine,” he concluded. — DayakDaily
