KUCHING: Sarawak and Slovakia are exploring potential cooperation in environmental technology, artificial intelligence (AI), flood management, and road infrastructure.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Slovak Republic Ambassador to Malaysia Peter Spisiak said these key areas were raised during a courtesy visit to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Satria Pertiwi Complex today.
Spisiak noted that Slovakia possesses several specialized companies capable of partnering with Sarawak across these sectors.
“In addition, there are also artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, while the Sarawak Premier raised the matter of road management.
“We have several companies in Slovakia that could collaborate with Sarawak in these areas,” Spisiak said during a press conference following the meeting.
As an immediate next step, he proposed hosting an online presentation platform connecting Slovak firms directly with Sarawak’s business community and government agencies.
He said the initiative would be organized in partnership with the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF), alongside relevant state ministries and departments, allowing Slovak firms to showcase their capabilities and explore joint ventures. — DayakDaily
