KUCHING, Oct 26: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jalan Haji Baki at Kampung Haji Baki here has been ordered to close for seven days starting today after one of its students was confirmed positive for Covid-19.
The State Education Department in a notice to the school revealed the school would be closed from October 26 to November 1 for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
Following a media statement from the Education Ministry, the State Education Department explained that any school throughout the country which has Covid-19 positive cases will need to close for seven days without waiting for a risk analysis from the Ministry of Health.
The State Education Department added that teachers and tutors were required to work from home and conduct lessons online during the school closure period. — DayakDaily
