KUCHING, Nov 2: Incumbent Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii recently handed over a RM118,080 allocation to SJK (C) Bintawa here to upgrade school facilities.

He said the grant will be used for upgrading parking lots, walking paths and waiting areas, installing railings, CCTVs, and setting up a mobile stage in the auditorium.

“These allocations were approved before the dissolution of Parliament and was released recently.

“In addition to these allocations, my office before this also helped to upgrade the special education class (PPKI) classrooms, music rooms, and teachers’ offices.

“With the music room (completed), our special needs children now have a nice place to dance and have fun,” he said in a statement today.

Dr Yii hoped that through the funding, the needs of schools can be met to provide students with a more comfortable and safer environment to study.
