This year’s carnival will introduce new categories, including a boys and girls youth category (under 15).

“Cycling is an important sport in the Olympics and other sports events. With this, we want to ensure continuity in terms of training and activities, especially in Sarawak,” Rentap was quoted by Ukas as saying.

He added that accommodation for technical officers and teams will also be provided at the longhouses’ homestay.

The four-day event consists of two main events, the criterium and the road race, with additional categories and cash prizes to attract more riders to join the LCC this year.
