KUCHING, April 26: The sixth suspect in the recent Cambodian job scam case was today remanded for four days to facilitate the investigation.
The 26-year-old man was arrested by the state Commercial Crime Investigations Department (CCID) personnel at the Kuching International Airport when he arrived from Pontianak at about 12.20pm yesterday.
He was alleged to have lured five victims to Cambodia with supposedly high-paying job offers.
Investigating officer Pricha Azin applied for the remand, and Assistant Registrar Aida Montong approved it.
Thus far, one suspect has been charged in the Magistrate’s Court in relation to this case. — DayakDaily
