Six Sarawak Golf Club members tested Covid-19 positive

KUCHING, Jan 15:  There are six members of the Sarawak Golf Club tested positive of Covid-19 as at today.

The club released the information through a notice to its members today.


“Further to the notice members dated 12.1.2021 on the Covid-19 situation, we wish to inform members that another five cases have tested positive as at 15.1.2021.  

“The total number of positive cases to date is six,” said the notice.

The club pointed out that all its areas has carried out sanitising from Jan 10, 2021 onwards and the club was closed on Jan 11 and 12, 2021 to ensure the cleansing was thorough and giving time for its staff to undergo Covid-19 tests.

“Our staff already tested have all been negative and today (Jan 15, 2021), the KKM (Health Department) team will be coming to the club to carry out Covid-19 tests on the other staff.

“Rest assured we have consulted the relevant authorities on action that need to be taken and these were and are done accordingly.  Closure of the club is not mandatory but thorough cleansing is,” said the club.

It promised that with the increasing in number of cases, it has come up with a general guideline to mitigate the Covid-19 situation and the members will be informed accordingly— DayakDaily
