MIRI, Sept 18: Two passengers from a Perodua Axia were injured last Wednesday night (Sept 17) in a collision with a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle at Simpang 4 near the Jalan Pujut 7 traffic light.
The driver of the 4WD was not present at the scene following the accident.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lopeng responded to the emergency at 11.50pm, deploying a team of firefighters to the site.
The victims, a 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were travelling in the Perodua Axia when the crash occurred.
They were assisted out of the vehicle by police, the Civil Defence Force (APM), and Ministry of Health (KKM) personnel prior to Bomba’s arrival, which then conducted a full scene assessment.
The case has been handed over to the police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
