KUCHING, Aug 3: Sibujaya Carnival 2023 is set to make a return from Aug 26 to Sept 3 with Sibujaya Bike Week 2023.
Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said as an opener for the carnival, Sibujaya Bike Week 2023 will be held at Sibujaya Motorcoss Track and Sibujaya Sapphire East Business Precinct Piazza.
“For the main event, which is the Sibujaya Carnival, it will mainly be held in Azman Hashim Community Sports Center in Sibujaya, from Sept 16 until Oct 8.
“On Oct 7, there will also be a Mini Marathon and Fun Run 2023, including Sibujaya’s Water Fiesta 2023,” he said during the press conference on Sibujaya Carnival 2023 held at Baitulmakmur building 2 in Petra Jaya today.
He added that among other activities lined up are performances from local artists, a fun fair and exhibition booth.
“This includes a Silat performance, traditional dance performance, dart competition and many others,” he said.
In conjunction with national day, Sibujaya Bike Week 2023 will also hold a Mountain Bike Fun Race 2023 and Sibujaya Bike Show 2023 on Aug 31.
Apart from that, the Sibujaya Grand Prix Extreme Motorcross Championship 2023 will also be held on Sept 2 to 3.
For the closing ceremony on Oct 7, various concert performances have been lined up to entertain the public, and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to attend the event.
