As the minister-in-charge of the event, he said both events will be held at Dataran Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang.

“The culmination of the celebration will be the National Day Celebration Assembly at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud.

“Many cultural performances are lined up for the event, including special performances from popular local artistes,” he said after chairing a meeting on the State-level National Day 2024 celebration today.

Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, are expected to attend the event, as well as Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg together with his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.

At the same time, Sikie hoped that the public, especially in Sibu, would fly the Malaysian and Sarawakian flags to make this year’s celebration merrier. — DayakDaily
