SIBU, March 26: A 44-year-old man attempted self-harm with a sharp weapon inside a vehicle at the gateway on Jalan Chambers yesterday (March 25).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to an emergency call at 1.44pm and immediately mobilised a team from the Sibu Central Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters collaborated with the police to provide support and persuade the man not to self-harm.
The authorities successfully apprehended the man, who was subsequently taken to the police station for further action. —DayakDaily
