KUCHING, Jan 14: A shocking double death case was reported in a residential area in Taman Mutiara, Sri Aman, where a couple in their 40s were found dead inside their house early this morning.
Based on information shared in multiple Facebook posts, the victims were a primary school headmaster under the Lubok Antu District Education Office (PPD) and his wife, who was a nurse at Sri Aman Hospital II.
Police were alerted shortly after the discovery, and the case is now under investigation.
Meanwhile, the Sarawak State Education Department (JPNS) has expressed its condolences following the death of the headmaster, identifying him as Cikgu Andy Roy Anak Junran.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, JPNS described the deceased as a dedicated school leader who carried out his responsibilities with commitment and integrity, contributing to the strengthening of national education.
“May the deceased be placed among the righteous, and may the family left behind be granted strength and resilience. May all matters be eased,” the department said.

The tragedy has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with friends, colleagues, and members of the public expressing shock and sorrow over the incident.
In one Facebook post, a netizen described the news as “truly shocking,” adding that it was difficult to imagine the emotional pain endured by the children.
“Why does such cruelty exist in this world? It is hard enough for adults to accept, let alone children who are still so young,” the post read, while calling for justice to be swiftly served.
