Upon graduation, scholars will embark on a fulfilling journey across various domains, including engineering, geosciences, and commercial disciplines, within the company’s operational landscape.

Siti Sulaiman, Country Chair of Shell Malaysia and senior vice president Upstream Malaysia, who was a former Shell Scholar herself, emphasised that the Shell Scholarship Programme aims to attract the country’s top talents and enable them to embark on an enriching education experience.

“Then, they can return to contribute to our energy industry and support Malaysia’s goal of becoming a high-income, sustainable economy.

“We, at Shell, are committed to helping the nation’s brightest minds become tomorrow’s most sought-after leaders and industry experts,” she affirmed in a media release today.

The Shell Scholarship Programme extends financial and career support to students passionate about advancing their education in various fields, including in engineering, sciences and commercial disciplines.

It covers direct study-related expenses, including tuition fees, living expenses, books, and other allowances, contingent upon the candidate’s academic performance.

Funds are provided for both pre-university A-levels at selected local boarding schools and undergraduate education at top universities in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia.

Notification of selection results is slated for August 2024. Applications for the 2024 Class of Shell Scholars close on June 17.

Interested candidates must be 2023 SPM or 2024 O-Level leavers with a minimum of 8As (A/A+) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or have Excellent O-level grades at IGCSE (A*/A). Chosen candidates should be willing to pursue A-levels at selected boarding institutions.
