We can now pay, receive money with the world easily, even on the island of Borneo,” he said.

He also congratulated Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for the masterful foresight and success in the collaboration.

According to Sim, Sarawak Pay is highly accepted and appreciated in Malaysia because it does not charge any processing fee to users and merchants.

He said it even gives cashback to users which is a very attractive feature that helps users and merchants to reduce cost.

The proposed increase to Sarawak Pay’s limit to Euro 1,000, he said, will further promote it as an international cashless payments application.
