KUCHING, May 14: Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) has partnered with Kozi Square to implement a drive-through pharmacy service at the shopping mall right next to the hospital.
Minister for Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, on his social media post, said that the drive-through pharmacy service is only for patients who have made prior appointments to collect their medications with SGH pharmacy.
The drive-through pharmacy service, he added, was an initiative by the management of Kozi Square arising from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in partnership with SGH.
āThis is the spirit of ‘Sarawak Solidarity’, the very best of collaboration between the private sector and public institution (SGH), willing to adapt and to change not just for the convenience of everyone but also to decrease the exposure to Covid-19.
āTruly an exemplary of Sarawak united warās effort on Covid-19 pandemic,ā he commended on his Facebook posting today.
Dr Sim explained that patients will need to take photos of their medicine prescriptions (front and back) and send a WhatsApp message to 011-20606766.
“When (the medicine is) ready (for collection), SGH pharmacist will let you (patients) know when to collect via the ‘drive-through’ counter,” he said.
The drive-through counter is opened Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
He also expressed gratitude to Kozi Square for the partnership with Sarawak government in providing accommodation and food for the healthcare frontliners as well as for the latest initiative with SGH on dispensing medications.
āEveryone has a role (in fighting Covid-19). Please play your part seriously. Together, we shall overcome Covid-19 pandemic,ā he added.ā DayakDaily
