SIBU, August 7: A farmer lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a four-wheel-drive pickup along Jalan Sibu-Durin today.
According to Sibu District Police Chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, the driver of the pickup was travelling towards Kanowit at about 4.30pm when the victim who was heading in the opposite direction changed lane, causing the accident.
The victim, 61, died at the scene. He was from Rumah Philip Kayak, Sungai Durin.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
