KUCHING, Apr 29: The Sarawak Federation of Chinese Associations (SFCA) is organising a blood donation session at Dewan Masyarakat, Jalan Padungan from 8.30 am to 3 pm on May 1.0
Its president Datuk Richard Wee said SFCA was holding the blood donation session promptly in response to the call made by the Red Crescent Society and Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank.
“To make it a more fun activity for our federation, we aim to break their daily collection record,” Wee told DayakDaily.
He called on all Kuchingites to come forth and be part of the meaningful activity in face of the grave threat from the Covid-19 outbreak.
Wee said he was mobilising SFCA members to support the activity and more than 100 have responded.
It is also his hope that other associations, NGOs or guilds may also answer the call to come forth to support the frontliners by donating blood.
“Many have contributed in various ways to standby those in the front line in fighting Covid-19. For others who do not how to help, blood donation is one way which you may chip in to help others in need,” said Wee.—DayakDaily
