MIRI, Dec 7: A 66-year-old woman from Kampung Cina in Marudi went to the police on Thursday alleging that her brother slapped her during a quarrel.
The sexagenarian also went to Klinik Marudi for treatment of the facial injuries sustained.
Baram police chief DSP Gabriel Risut, when contacted, said the quarrel between the siblings was over a maid.
It is understood that the 39-year-old suspect became enraged when his sister advised him to stop abusing their maid, who was employed to look after their ageing father.
The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurts. At press time, no arrest has been made. — DayakDaily
